Data we collect

• Account: email, name, and profile image, via Better Auth (email/password or Google sign-in).
• Preferences and usage: your target and native language, saved songs, per-day and per-month counts of songs and explanations you generate (to enforce plan limits), and push subscription endpoints (only if you enable notifications).
• Billing: if you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes your payment. We store only a Stripe customer and subscription identifier and your plan status. We never see or store your card number.
• Server logs: standard request logs for debugging.

How we use it

Account data is used to sign you in and remember your library and language. Lyrics and URLs you submit are processed by OpenAI (chat completion, web search, speech-to-text) to produce translations, analysis, official lyrics and artist context. Audio downloaded for transcription is processed in-memory and not retained.

Email

We send transactional email you cannot opt out of while you have an account (for example, a password reset you request), via Cloudflare Email Service. We may occasionally send product updates; every such message carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect transactional email.

Analytics and session recording

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic (no cookies, no cross-site tracking) and Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and session recordings, which help us find broken flows and confusing screens.

If you are signed in, we send Clarity your account id and your display name so a recording can be traced back to the account it belongs to when investigating a problem you report. We never send your email address, and we never send payment or password data. Clarity masks text you type by default.

If you would rather not be recorded, most content blockers block Clarity, and you can ask us to delete recordings linked to your account at the contact address below.

Your rights

To delete your account and all associated data, or for any other data request, email [email protected] and we will action it. Deleting your account removes your profile, preferences, saved songs and usage counters; songs you added stay in the public library. If you have a Pro subscription, cancel it first from Settings.

Cookies

We only use first-party cookies set by Better Auth for authentication. No third-party tracking, no advertising cookies.
