Meaning

Questa canzone parla di un amore intenso segnato dalla perdita, dal rimpianto e da ricordi che non smettono di farsi sentire. Il tono è malinconico ma anche molto tenero: il narratore non vuole cancellare il dolore, perché quel dolore è legato alla persona amata e quindi fa parte di ciò che ha vissuto con lei. L’immagine del limone, con il suo odore amaro e tagliente, funziona come simbolo di un ricordo che resta vivo nel cuore: non dolce, ma impossibile da dimenticare. In generale, il brano esprime l’idea che alcune emozioni, anche quelle più dolorose, diventano preziose proprio perché ci hanno cambiato.
