Meaning

La canzone esprime un conflitto leggero ma molto chiaro tra due modi di vivere: uno più sano, ordinato e “luminoso”, l’altro più notturno, indulgente e libero. La voce narrante ammira la dolcezza dell’altra persona, ma sente di non potersi adattare a quel ritmo: preferisce il caffè amaro, il whisky e le notti tranquille, invece di una vita perfetta e troppo “giusta”. Il tono è ironico, affettuoso e un po’ autoironico, perché non c’è vero rifiuto: c’è piuttosto la consapevolezza che i due sono incompatibili.
